Review Criteria
Completed applications will be peer-reviewed by volunteers as well as ASID Headquarters staff. The review process will be blind. Names and key identifying information will not be shared with the jury. Applications will be scored in two groups.
FY26 VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP ROLE REVIEW
Completed applications will be reviewed by a team including the FY25 National Committee Chair, Chair-Elect, National Board Liaison, and Staff Liaison(s). The team will make their recommendation for the FY26 National Committee Chair-Elect that the FY26 ASID National Board Chair will approve.
Applications will be scored using a series of Likert Scale questions. Likert Scale scoring goes from highest point value for most qualified for the criterion to lowest point value for least or not qualified. An aggregate score will be calculated for each applicant.

- Leadership Statement of Interest
- National Committee Skills Match
- Overall Impression
More emphasis is placed on the Leadership Statement of Interest, National Committee Skills Match, and Overall Impression.
Those who receive the top scores will be considered for a National Committee Chair-Elect role. Each National Committee will meet to select their top applicants and determine their recommendation for the National Committee Chair-Elect. Recommendations will be approved by the FY26 National Board Chair.
Those who are not selected for a National Committee Chair-Elect role will be considered for a National Committee Member role. Applicants who are FY25 National Committee Members will continue their terms.
FY26 VOLUNTEER MEMBER ROLE REVIEW
Completed applications will be reviewed by a team including the FY25 National Committee Chair, Chair-Elect, Members, National Board Liaison, and Staff Liaison(s), as well as the FY26 National Committee Chair-Elect. The team will make their recommendation for which of the new volunteers should join the FY26 National Committee. The FY26 ASID National Board Chair will provide approval.
