Review Criteria

Completed applications will be peer-reviewed by volunteers as well as ASID Headquarters staff. The review process will be blind. Names and key identifying information will not be shared with the jury. Applications will be scored in two groups.

FY27 NATIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIR-ELECT APPLICANT REVIEW

Completed applications will be reviewed by a team including the FY26 National Committee Chair, Chair-Elect, Past Chair, National Board Liaison, and Staff Liaison(s). The team will make their recommendation for the FY27 National Committee Chair-Elect. The FY27 ASID National Board Chair approves the recommendation. 

Applications will be scored using a series of Likert Scale questions. Likert Scale scoring goes from highest point value for most qualified for the criterion to lowest point value for least or not qualified. An aggregate score will be calculated for each applicant.

  1. Education, Professional Experience & Credentials Match
  2. Volunteer Experience Match
  3. Leadership Statement of Interest
  4. National Committee Skills Match
  5. Overall Impression

More emphasis is placed on the Leadership Statement of Interest, National Committee Skills Match, and Overall Impression.

Those who receive the top scores will be considered for a National Committee Chair-Elect role. Each National Committee will meet to select their top applicants and determine their recommendation for the National Committee Chair-Elect. 

Those who are not selected for a National Committee Chair-Elect role will be considered for a National Committee Member role. Applicants who are FY26 National Committee Members will continue their terms.

FY27 NEW NATIONAL COMMITTEE MEMBER ROLE REVIEW

Completed applications will be reviewed by a team including the FY26 National Committee Chair, Chair-Elect, Past Chair, Members, National Board Liaison, and Staff Liaison(s), as well as the FY27 National Committee Chair-Elect. The team will make their recommendation for which of the new volunteers should join the FY27 National Committee. The FY27 ASID National Board Chair approves the recommendation.
